I’ll be in touch soon with the February edition of our regular newsletter. But today I want to make sure you know that Back Again from the Broken Land, a game I designed with my wife Leah, is entering the last two days of its Kickstarter.
Back Again from the Broken Land is a tabletop roleplaying game about small adventurers who played a humble but crucial part in the fall of the Doomslord. Now, laden with stories to tell and burdens to bear, they make the long walk home. Will they evade the fallen Doomslord’s vengeful Hunters along the way? And what sort of homecoming will they experience, after all the ways they’ve been changed by their journey?
The Kickstarter, part of ZineQuest, has been a really exciting experience. We passed our funding goal in under an hour and are closing in on 1000% funding as we go into the last 48 hours of the campaign. We’re really glad this game has struck a chord with so many people.
If you’re already a backer, thank you! If you haven’t backed yet, consider joining us on this journey. $8 gets you a PDF, $15 gets you a print copy with a black-and-white cover… and there are still a few slots left for the limited edition color cover tiers, some with special customizations like a handwritten evocative detail, map feature, or Story of Doom.
If you’re curious to learn more about the game, check out this Twitter thread I just shared about its origins:
You can also check out the Kickstarter page for links to Actual Play videos and podcasts about the game. We’re proud of this game and excited to share it with as many of you as possible.
The road goes ever on,
Alexi
